For an environmental and sustainability class we were asked to create a sustainable and environmentally friendly building that should accommodates a commercial space and two townhouses.
The commercial space should be occupied by a sustainable business and a biomimicry solution for any of the building's problems should be provided.
The Store
Green Bottle is a company that recollects PET bottles and reused them to create objects of any kind such as jewelry, home/office accessories, furniture and lighting fixtures.
The East and West facades are design to block the sun's rays. The materials and equipment in the interior are environmentally friendly and from companies with sustainable practices.
The Townhouses
Located on the North side of the site they face North and South and protect itself from the sun's rays.
Floor to ceiling windows allows light and ventilation, and mobile screens provide protection and privacy to the occupants.
The courtyard function as an open space for the townhouses and allows conection to the street.
